Visions of love and regret from the past
combine to release the tears I’ve amassed.
Emotional highs, with the doldrums, contrast,
making me fear that this turmoil will last.
Thoughts that I hear tumbling ’round in my head
are based on the silence, not what was said.
Through feeling, I know I am never misled.
Mystical clues point to what lies ahead.
Fate has a hand in how life is played out,
yet choices I make determine my route.
Though wiser with age, I’m still haunted by doubt.
Love is what this human quest is about!
Bound and determined to always be real,
I must be aware of all that I feel.
Though, parts of myself, I prefer to conceal,
love for another, I’ll always reveal.
From this new path I will never depart;
both passion and hope were there from the start.
