The Child Who Lives Inside

In approaching the vernal equinox,

balance is on my mind.
I aspire to release all inner blocks,
and what I’ve outgrown, I must leave behind.

But along with the spring, desires arrive;
night is as long as day.
Though I think I should work, an inner drive
encourages me to go out and play!

If I fail to accept this childlike urge
rising from deep within
as the wisdom inside that must emerge,
then I will miss out on what might have been.

For the child in my heart hears Spirit’s voice
beckoning me outside.
And because she is fearless, love’s her choice;
her presence confirms that soul is her guide.

Now I’m sure that the child who lives inside
always perceives the Light;
since the viewpoint she has is eagle-eyed,
her balanced perspective lets me take flight!
