The Heart Knows

When perceiving with the mind,
much is blurred and undefined.
But in being led by how we feel,
we discover what is real.

In the center of the chest
lies the answer to our quest;
all the while the mind is playing sleuth,
with each heartbeat echoes Truth!

What mind can never fathom, the heart distinctly knows:
All the wisdom we are seeking, loving feelings can disclose.

If we hold on to control,
we deny what’s in our Soul.
So each time our thoughts go on a chase,
we resist the hand of Grace.

Though we think the human brain
holds the largest “wisdom vein,”
it would take us lifetimes to transpose
what the heart already knows!
