Love is a very beautiful thing
in any form on which it takes wing.
Expressed by artists who paint and who sing,
it moves through dancers in hips that swing.
Music remains a marvelous way
for some to find a means to convey
the passionate feelings they tuck away,
revealed in melodies that they play.
Poets give voice to feelings through rhyme —
the painful ones that lessen with time,
complex emotions that turn on a dime,
and loving ones, which are so sublime.
Distance and time exist in the mind
as earthly limits, making us blind
to certain expressions of love designed
to ease the sorrows of humankind.
Poetry, dancing, music, and art
are forms that mortals use to impart
emotions brought forth by the human heart.
This love lives on after we depart!
