How ever did we come to be
this puzzle that is you and me?
In many ways, we’re not the same,
yet something potent lit this flame.
Apparent in each other’s eyes
are feelings we cannot disguise.
Although frustration threatens war,
there’s passion burning at our core.
I often wonder why it’s so
that, when my mind goes to and fro
between acceptance and defeat,
I choose to stay and not retreat….
Love is the answer to every question
life will every pose.
“Open your heart” is the best suggestion
wise men will propose
to anyone who’s asking why
what’s happening is so.
But all you really need to know
is Truth that only humans still suppose:
Love is the answer.
All earthly journeys, love will guide,
by reaching past the will and pride
that keep our egos occupied.
It draws another to our side.
But when the ego rears its head,
it feeds us thoughts of fear and dread.
It makes us want to run away
and keeps forgiving thoughts at bay.
Emotions rise, and we react
to past events and not to fact.
The quicker that we stop the squall
of pain and anger, we’ll recall…
