Make Way for the New!

A new beginning brings an ending,

and the reverse is also true.
At times, we’re uncertain what to do
with projects that are pending,
fences in need of mending,
and paths that we deny
we’re clearly meant to eschew.

No matter how we try,
we can’t go on pretending
that to which we should be attending
isn’t ours to do.
Rationalizing won’t make it true!

The collective urge to purify
is Source’s not-so-subtle cue
to let go of what is through
and the need to know why
we must say goodbye
to our old beliefs and actions
and, sometimes, loved ones, too.

Fated ‘coming attractions’
are immune to ego reactions.
What’s intended will debut
despite the mind’s distractions.
Purge the old to make way for the new!
