The Ego’s Web

In remaining afraid to embrace the new
and not letting go of what’s past and through,

you allow egoic distraction
to control your life by inaction,
affecting not only yourself,
but placing us ALL on a shelf
by delaying the work you agreed to do.

If the reasoning mind even had a clue
to concepts the Higher Self knows are true,
you’d let go of fear by believing
that the instincts you are receiving
were given to you by your Soul
to aid you in playing the role
you accepted before you were known as…you.

Emotions arise; our bodies react.
When thinking begins, it serves to distract.
But our intuition requires us to act,
and in doing so, we remain intact.

For the world consists of one and all,
and though each life is merely a hall
in the ever-expanding mansion of NOW,
the paths we walk contribute somehow
to Source’s inclusive design.
Each one of our journeys align
in ways that affect us eternally
via routes that, as humans, we’re blind to see.

So we must understand: We are meant to shine!
A strong intuition is Source’s sign
that points us to where we must go.
It isn’t our business to know
just how our part fits into the whole,
nor specifics required in reaching our goal.
To analyze through reason and thought
is the ego’s web, so don’t get caught!

If thinking distracts, don’t furrow your brow;
relax and recall:  you needn’t know how.
When emotions stir you, return to the NOW;
to the Sovereign’s wise instructions, you’ll bow.
