The Need for Judgement

Whenever doubt rears its head,

delete it before it can spread.
Its presence begins by thieving
the hopefulness faith is weaving
into life with each stitch of its thread.

At times, our sorrow is bred
by actions that make us see red.
And though there’s a time for grieving,
our sadness can be deceiving.
What has angered us needs to be said.

We must first excise
what the ego belies;
emotions give way and are shed.
As we alchemize
what our shame would disguise,
then body and Spirit are wed.

The need for all judgement dies
when we look at the world through loving eyes.

We often don’t comprehend

that what we perceive as ‘the end’
is simply a new beginning;
the universe keeps on spinning.
There’s salvation around every bend.

The wasted moments we spend
believing past actions have penned
the outcome of every inning
detract from the art of winning.
Here and now is a powerful friend!

From whatever dies,
something new will arise;
on this, we can always depend.
As we realize
to be present is wise,
our fears, at long last, we transcend.

The need for all judgement dies
when we look at ourselves through loving eyes.
