Waiting in the Wings

Happily, I’ll spend my years

waiting in the wings,
knowing Spirit pulls the strings,
controlling who and what appears
at any given time —
prompting me to write in rhyme
by sending rhythmic phrases to my ears.

From in the wings, I’m cued to shine a light.
Via auditory bones,
consistent, high-pitched tones
alert me Spirit will recite
that to which I must give voice.
Words will be my choice,
yet I’m guided while I write.

Feelings, with vibrations, merge;
then there is a potent surge
of blissful energies, of hope and love.

Fingers fly across the keys!
Mostly, language flows with ease.
What’s on the screen was sent from up above.

Soul’s intent is clear:
Themed by way of Spirit’s air,
while on earth I’m meant to share
poems writ with loving care,
essays born of faith and prayer.
