The Fool

Blithely skipping on his path,

the Fool is filled with joy.
Though unaware of what’s ahead,
he’s willing to employ
the higher teachings he has read.
His joie de vivre he’ll likely spread;
all doubt, he will destroy.

Carrying within a sack
his chosen, precious things,
he’s open to whate’er awaits —
what inspiration brings.
The beauty ’round him captivates;
to ways unknown, he gravitates,
upheld by Spirit’s wings.

Is he blind to danger,
or could it be he knows
releasing expectations
and letting go of woes
allow whatever seeds he sows
to blossom, so whatever grows
contains divine vibrations
that, with his Soul, he chose?

Followed by his trusty dog
and with a rose in hand,
he journeys into the unknown.
In time, he’ll understand
that, whether made of sand or stone,
the path he walks on is his own.
It’s what his Soul has planned!

The Fool keeps on keeping on,
his eyes raised to the sky.
As sun shines on his shoulders,
Spirit whispers, “Don’t ask why.”
