The wonders of the natural world are to be enjoyed while on planet Earth. The beauty of the heavens and the synchronicity with which celestial activity corresponds with earthly reality is, in itself, an amazement. Human beings have been aware for centuries of the connection between the movement of the heavenly bodies and the prevailing energies at play. Although interpretations are not always as precise as we would desire, it is still clear to those awake that there is truth in the saying, “As above, so below.” Whether or not we associate the mundane world happenings with the movement of the planets and lights, the connection is there.

Choice is always ours as to how to utilize the available energy: whether or not to work with it or resist it, whether to heed the weather report provided or not, whether to accept the opportunities for growth and expansion or decline the invitation. Working with the flow of life is like choosing to walk with our backs to the wind, taking the route that is better facilitated by the current climate. Of course, we can always choose to row upstream instead. Ultimately, it’s up to each of us to decide upon the manner in which we navigate our chosen path, yet that path will be traversed all the same.

As indicated in the well-known poem, “The Road Not Taken,” the choice of which path to take is that of the traveler.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black… (Robert Frost 1-12)

Neither path is better or worse than the other; they’re simply different. Choice is at the heart of being human; we always have a choice, even if that choice is not to act or to deny that we HAVE a choice. Being aware of the prevailing weather and acting accordingly is simply a choice that we make; we can also choose to ignore the forecast. Neither is right or wrong; it’s simply a choice.

In this world in which we reside, those who broadcast the prevailing climate also have a choice as to whether to focus on the factors that support movement and joy or the blockages and resistant forces that are present. Of course, each individual has the choice as to where they focus their attention and how they react to whatever they encounter. Even the same encounter produces an infinite number of responses depending on the current perception of the individual. As an example, one can become aware of a seeming loss in the economy and react with fear, hoarding what it is that they possess and making choices from that fearful state. Others see an opportunity for growth/gain accompanying the seeming lack and respond in a positive manner, expanding their personal world in a way that brings them joy.

There is always a choice! No matter the situation presented to us in the reality on which we are focused, as human beings, we have a choice as to our perception of that occurrence and our reaction to it. Our power lies in choice. It is in the moment that the choice presents itself that the power resides, which is why true power only exists in the NOW. When keeping our focus in the present, we choose to create what appears to our mortal eyes as the next moment and, though it defies the reasoning mortal mind, the prior moments, as well. The present is the point of entry into all of eternity; the present is where power presides; the present is all there is.

Choice is always available; presence is where true power resides; All That It is ever-present, infinitely expressed in its limitlessness. As we walk upon this beautiful planet using our human senses to relish the natural wonders available to us in our physical forms, we choose our experience of this reality on which we are focused; encapsulated within us is the endless bounty and wisdom of Source. “…All That Is persists despite what mortal man defines, no matter where we draw the lines we think we daren’t cross. What we perceive as loss is just a face of plenitude. Each earthly interlude exists in All That Is….”
