Message #23

Engaging the heart in all that you do is the path to deepening your connection with Soul.  When blockages to the heart chakra interfere with divine connection, sadness will be the primary emotion experienced.  In order to rise above a feeling of sadness, anger often enters.  We can judge that emotion harshly when we find it darkening our door, yet it is there to be of assistance in the forgiveness of both self and others.  Anger, the most often misunderstood human emotion, plays an important role in our earthly journey, as do all emotions that we experience.  It is our judgement of the darker expressions of emotion that can lead us to quell any feelings that we perceive as negative.  Escaping what we feel through our “drug” of choice somehow seems safer to the reasoning mind than allowing, feeling, and expressing (what we refer to as) the shadow aspects of self.

As human beings, we are meant to experience and express ourselves via the emotional body.  Our lack of awareness of how we actually feel (due to societal programming and ancestral wounding that cause us to disallow feelings that we judge to be wrong) is what leads to suffering.  When unimpeded by thought, all emotions in and of themselves pass through the human form in a very short period of earth-time.  Allowing ourselves to feel emotion as it courses through our body (without judging it) supports our health on every level.  Accepting that we are meant to experience the many expressions of emotions engendered by love and fear allows us to be at peace with our human selves.  As we strive to expand our spirituality while inhabiting these physical forms, so must we embrace our emotional bodies since they also contribute to the expression of the Divine.  Without human emotion, what would give “heart” to our artistic creations:  music, poetry, paintings, dance, and the like?  Nevertheless, we continue to disempower important aspects of ourselves by using whatever means are available NOT to feel.  That which we suppress then gains control.  If an emotion is not allowed to be felt, it is experienced via projection onto an event (either personally or collectively) or another human being or group, such as those formed in the name of religion, shared political views, race and/or cultural heritage.  The denial of our individual emotions propels them into manifestation seemingly apart from ourselves; integration must occur one way or another to facilitate health and wholeness.

When the reasoning mind is at rest during our sleeping hours, rejected and/or unacknowledged emotions surface, sometimes with an intensity that shakes us awake.  Choose to use that opportunity to experience the emotion presenting itself to you for integration.  Allow yourself to awaken on more than the physical level!  Trust that the inclusion of every facet of who you are broadens your beingness, which in turn expands every aspect of both the manifested and the unmanifested—the world of form and that of spirit.  All That Is encompasses every expression of energy—both light and dark—since all is from Source, born of the OnePoint.  The Divine’s expansion and expression are never-ending.

If you lead with your heart open, then your experience of all emotional expressions will be clothed in love, compassion, and Light.  Be inclusive in all aspects of your human journey, and integration of the Divine with its expression in form flows unhindered by fear and resistance.  Suffering ends; serenity reigns.
