Preview of Coming Attractions

Today I was guided to share a glimpse of a project on which I embarked almost five-and-a-half years ago—one that began as an…experiment during my solo years in Las Vegas.

Just over three years after moving to the desert, my active and fulfilling life took a more inward turn.  It’s not that I quit doing what I had been doing (which was almost equally balanced between time spent with others and time alone); however, I was drawn to spend even more time alone than I had previously allowed, mostly due to an…urge I had to try something completely new.  That urge led me to set aside time every day during which I would sit quietly with my laptop in place, my hands lightly poised on the keyboard, while keeping my eyes closed in order to help shut out any noise or visual stimuli that might interfere with my tuning inward.  As my mind let go of the thoughts that came and went, I found myself…stepping aside and allowing another aspect of my…consciousness to write.  Words came into my mind and found their way onto the “page,” and I simply allowed them to flow—not opening my eyes unless I was prompted to momentarily do so (which most often signaled an “issue” with the computer function itself to which I had to attend in order to continue).

At some point, it became clear that I had completed whatever it was that I had channeled onto the “page.”  I opened my eyes and took a few minutes (while still in a light trance state) to quickly read through what had been written in order to correct obvious typos or computer-generated auto-corrections that were not…correct.  Most often, I was surprised by the majority of what I read while having only some recollection of parts of it.  Since the software program that I chose for this project recorded both the date and time that I created the “entry” (i.e., a blank page to use as desired), I simply made a note of the time that I finished my (minimal) editing, saved the file, and exited the software.  With rare exception, (until recently) I didn’t revisit entries from the early years of that project, nor did I share anything about it with others.  Further details about how the project unfolded over the years are not the purpose of this blog, so I’ll leave it at that for now.

What I want to include today is a sample from an early entry of that writing (channeled during the first month of the experiment)—a preview of coming attractions, if you will.  As I have done for many years now, I simply follow whatever guidance I receive each day in order to determine my activities, which includes if and what I should share publicly in regard to my creative work (poetry, blogs, photographs, etc.).  After being prompted to read and edit that particular entry from the above-mentioned project, I was also…informed that it was time to “put it out there” via a blog, hence this long but necessary introduction.  Without further ado, here’s an excerpt from my channeled writing entry of December 28, 2014.

“The point of stillness is from where your power emanates.  Those who access power on a regular basis are far more capable of co-creating their reality than those who rarely go within.  Your beliefs are also part of the equation of co-creation, which is why examination of what your true beliefs currently are is valuable and should be revisited from time to time.  There are natural cycles that allow for this to occur, but many humans have lost touch with the natural rhythms of both their bodies and their consciousness.  Of course, those that have a daily spiritual practice of some kind are more likely to be aware of these cycles; heeding their needs, however, is a choice that must be made consciously whenever one is beckoned to go within, rest, act, etc.

When we use the term ‘power,’ we’re not referring to control in the sense that humans believe is powerful.  We are referring to power achieved by being in touch with the Source within that knows the higher path for you to tread.  Any illusions of control over others and their choices is not part of the power to which we refer.  True power also entails complete non-resistance to your path and to your Life’s purpose.  There are times at which there is a great deal of power in being of service to others; at other times, there is a great deal of power in attending to your own physical needs.  In other words, there are times when being very ‘me-focused’ is your optimal point of power; there are times when being very ‘other-focused’ is your optimal point of power.  If you remain in touch with Source, you will be guided to use your power in the wisest way and with precise timing.  Recognizing the difference between a call to spiritual power and a pull of ego is a necessary skill that is developed by accessing the still-point within, i.e., accessing your point of true power.  Although the words are a bit deceiving, the human motto ‘practice makes perfect’ has some value in that regard.

Those who regularly access their still-point within also vibrate at a higher level than those who do not.  They emit a different frequency and a larger amount of…Light, as well.  The Light-bearers of the Earth play an important role in both the upliftment of humanity and the evolution of your plane of existence.  They are being called to ‘step up to the plate’ at this time in history in order that your planet evolves in a way that allows life on the earth plane to be one of joy and love.  So much of what has transpired on your planet in the thousands of years that humans have been incarnate there can be elevated/changed ‘in the blink of an eye’ by the willingness of the Light-bearers to take their places of prominence in the world…NOW!”

Author’s Addendum:  As I read this entry earlier today—the first time since the day it was written—it made perfect sense that I would be guided to edit and share an excerpt from it now that we are in the midst of a global pandemic.
