During times of great change, discordant energy is often perceived as more challenging and pervasive than in times of stability. It can feel as if there are limitations everywhere; that danger lurks around every corner; and behind the strained smiles of others, a condescending judgement of one’s words and actions overrides their usual ability to accept differences with compassion. The “live and let live” of bygone decades has been replaced with “you’re either for me or against me.” Nowadays, “we are on the same side, or we are enemies.” Those whom we had previously perceived as reasonable and amiable respond to a difference of opinion with disbelief, which then morphs into coldness. We hear the thoughts in our own heads reflecting the same onto others, astounded by our change of heart. How could we be so far apart in our thinking? How could the beliefs of seemingly rational and kind human beings differ to the extent that energetic walls are being erected right and left in order to set boundaries between “them” and “us?”
When what we had come to believe as true is challenged by our changing perceptions of both self and others, disquiet permeates our inner and outer realities. There is no longer a soft bed on which to fall, and we find ourselves lacking the ability to silence a reasoning mind that is suddenly filled with anxiety and fear. Our dreamscapes are animated by symbols foreign to both our waking and sleeping selves. Comfort is no longer found in daily routines and familiar places.
As the wheel of destiny turns, adjustments must be made on all fronts. In order to know what to do, when to do it, and how to navigate this strange reality that bridges the gap from what no longer serves to a new, more enlightened paradigm, patience with ourselves and others, as well as an ardent faith in our connection to Source, is required. The GPS of Soul ever guides us on our journey, even though we find the roads traveled unfamiliar and the usually understandable directions as strange to our ears as the language of a heretofore unexplored, distant land. As we open our hearts and minds to the ever-present Father/Mother, we must fully embrace the trusting child within who joyfully takes the hand of One much wiser and grander than he/she, putting one foot in front of the other, though the destination is unknown. Fear of the future and the uncertainties experienced in one’s current life situation cast a pall on the present. Now is all we have and unceasingly provides for our every need despite the ego’s contrary view.
Allow for balance in your daily life, paying no heed to the thoughts in your head that insist that play is unnecessary, stillness is counterproductive, and rest is for the weak. Each moment is irreplaceable—never again to be! Live each moment with the knowledge that the next, though distinct from the current one, is as precious and worthy of your full attention. Breathe in the serenity of oneness with Spirit, and exhale the illusion of separation from Source. The Whole is constantly expanding in the Light, and we are each a valued component. What the human mind perceives as darkness, restriction, and other-than-self is also a necessary part of the dance of Spirit in the world of form. Allow this joyful dance that is life to lovingly move us along our individual paths within the splendor of All That Is.
